Laughter & Astonishment
A comedian’s timing. An actor’s imagination. A lifetime devoted to sleight of hand.
John Carney brings comedy, acting, and extraordinary sleight of hand together in a complete theatrical experience. His performances move from silly to sentimental, with characters, stories, and surprises along the way.
The Academy of Magical Arts at Hollywood’s Magic Castle has honored John with awards for close-up, parlour, and stage magic, as well as its Performing Fellowship in 2014.
His television appearances include the Late Show with David Letterman and the Jerry Seinfeld HBO Special, with acting appearances on Spin City and Two and a Half Men.
John has performed in theaters around the world and lectured extensively on the art of magic. His books include Carneycopia, The Book of Secrets, Sleights and Insights, and Magic by Design.
Precision and creativity serve the same purpose: an audience’s pleasure in the unexpected.
