INSIDE THE LESSON
Learn the handling.
Understand the choices.
John continues his study of the small details that make card magic look natural. This second part focuses on familiar techniques whose effectiveness depends as much on timing, rhythm, and behavior as on finger positions.
Explore a direct top change, natural retreat and follow-through after palming, a smooth Elmsley count into dealing grip, and a less awkward handling of the glide. John also explains his approach to preparing and displaying a double lift, locating a crimp without appearing to study the pack, and retaining top stock with a casual overhand shuffle.
Drawing on lessons from Dai Vernon, Mike Skinner, and Fawcett Ross, John shows how to remove suspicious pauses and gestures so the handling supports the effect. Includes advice on making a shuffle read clearly from the stage.
Part 1 is sold separately.
